This project at ‘Our Lady of the Angels’ School at Kellyville is a Catholic College where we were asked to supply quality products to Safin Pty Ltd as designed by De Angelis Taylor + Associates architects.
The brief was for a contemporary design building to suit the need of collaborative learning outcomes which includes a lot of transparency between spaces and also between the external and internal of the building.
The glazing solution has created an area that will allow for lots of natural light to flow through creating a perfect space for this learning environment.
Central to the renovations success was allowing for the spaces to open up and flow into each other. The use of the Series 410 Bifold doors allowed for a whole room to become open to the outdoors which is great for functions and events on the premises. The Series 400 framing with Breezeway Altair louvres and aluminium louvre blades were great in that when open they allow cross ventilation throughout but at the same time they can close the light out for film presentations.
The use of different coloured laminated glass was for design aspects and and installed in an area used for light reading in the Library. This added a fun aspect to the design which is great considering it is an environment used for childrens growth and learning.
The ELEVATE window systems supplied in the project are able to withstand an extremely high level of water resistance and the Anotec Natural Pearl powdercoat finish by Dulux, being the paint leader in the country, will ensure a quality and long lasting product.
VIRIDIAN double glazed Soltec and Energytec glass was selected their energy efficiency, superior insulation benefits, sound dampening properties and ability to reduce glare.
The strength, durability and energy efficiency of Hanlon Windows’s high performance windows and doors has afforded a perfect solution for this project and will provide safety and protection well into the future.
